At Mogul we try to think in new ways in offshore development. The Mogul offer and operations in this area we call Nearshore development.
A fairly new sometimes used term in this business is Nearshore. It is used to imply that the offshore office is located on the same continent, with good connections and within the same time zone. With this term, providers wants to differ from the overhead it can imply working with distant offshore providers in conventional production countries such as India, Malaysia et cetera. There, the work with aligning the development goals with the business goals can easily become as intense as the development itself. There, the larger cultural differences along with the distance can make the setup less easy to introduce to your organization.
Mogul has gradually created a fully integrated nearshore office, close, competent and transparent, where all co-workers are a part of the daily business and projects of Mogul. We are continuously working in distributed teams, using the same systems and methods. We create and share the same competences, and have mutual training programs, as well as development and project methodologies.
We use the term Nearshore to describe this offer: Near, because we mean that the projects and development are done in a very close relationship to you, with a high degree of cooperation and a great transparence towards you as a customer. Near, because the development is done close to Sweden, less than two hours fly time from the major hubs.
