Public Map Solutions (GIS)

Public map solutions are used to present information that can be most clearly represented with a map.

Development has progressed quickly in the past years and today we can dynamically show, search for and interact with maps online, making information more vibrant and easier to find.

This development depends mainly upon the fact that it has been possible to concentrate on the well-developed standards WMS and WFS. This has made it simpler and less expensive to produce solutions for companies and organizations.

At Mogul we can develop and integrate mapping services for the web based on a business’s own information, for example:

• Search and presentation: search results are shown in information layers based on category choice and visualized on maps.
• Editing: create, move and alter object information directly on a map.
• Georeferenced material: for example, scanned detailed development plans, visualized on maps.
• Online geometries: area, road or measurement markers, for example.

Many functions can be used effectively as communication channels on websites between providers and visitors.
